South Carolina Man Dies in One-Car Accident

A man from Geogetown County, South Carolina died in a one-car accident on Sunday morning, March 30.

George Donnelly, 22, of Andrews was killed about 5:45 a.m. Sunday after his 1998 Camaro struck a ditch and overturned on S.C. 41 one mile South of U.S. 17 A, said a spokesman for the highway patrol. Donnelly who was ejected from the vehicle died of a closed head injury, said Georgetown County Coroner, Kenny Johnson.

Officials from the highway patrol stated that they did not know the cause of the accident, but it could have been speeding, a distraction, or fatigue. There will be an investigation into the accident; Donnelly was not wearing a seatbelt.
